AATE facilitate the placements of interns (students and/or graduates) who require to augment their practical experience.
The objectives of AATE’s student and intern programmes are to:
- Provide students with practical experience and on-the-job skills.
- Prepare postgraduate students for a career in research.
- Expose students to career prospects in biodiversity.
- Provide AATE with the opportunity to observe and track students for permanent positions.
- Accelerate the development of designated groups into the mainstream of competitive biodiversity conservation opportunities.
We conceive education as encompassing the total learning experience. With our internships and by supporting the formal academic program with hands-on practical experience, co-curricular activities supplement and reinforce the formal curriculum and therefore are important in the total development and education of the student.
Students and interns benefit from numerous learning opportunities, including orientation, formal and informal training, fieldwork and networking with many specialists.
