“Nyanka” is the term the Namas use for the unique and endemic Welwitschia desert-adapted plant. This journey into Namibia aims to be cast in a similar vein with visits to unique places and creating unique experiences. Travelling more than 2500km over a period of 13 days, through four different deserts, the tour is reasonably paced, not too fast to miss the essence of the experience or too slow to get boring. EXTRA ACTIVITIES

Nyanka Namib Comfort Tour

DAY 1

Windhoek - Arrive at the Hosea Kutako International Airport. Following our transfer from the airport, our Nyanka tour kicks off in the Namibian capital of Windhoek. An easy afternoon with a city tour and a hearty dinner at the famous Joe’s Beer House.

DAY 2

Ababis - Transfer from Windhoek to the edge of the Namib desert next to the Namib-Naukluft Mountains. We will be lodging at the Ababis Guest Farm, which is a gem in its own right. An afternoon game drive with sundowners overlooking the Tsondab valley, with the red dunes of the Namib silhouetting the sunset.

DAY 3

Ababis - After an early breakfast, we head off to Sossusvlei within the heart of the Namib desert. We will spend the whole day exploring Sesriem, Dooievlei and Sossusvlei. A chance to climb one of the highest dunes in the world with plenty of animal sightings. Lunch at the picnic site in Sossusvlei.

DAY 4

Kuiseb - After a hearty breakfast, we head off to the entrance of the Naukluft National Park where we will do an easy to moderate hike up the Waterkloof valley. An opportunity to swim in clear natural mountain pools (in the desert). We will have a light picnic lunch at the pools before we make our way back. After stopping for a quick break at the Ababis farm, we make our way past Solitaire to Kuiseb canyon and Namibia’s valley of a thousand hills.
